The Lindens are slowly learning how to scale up their systems, and the grid slowly is getting more stable..... keyword there: slowly..... but hey, slow & steady wins, right? Maybe if they rushed things, they'd mess it right up & the whole thing would spin out of control.<br><br>Don't like geek speak?<br>For the resident non-geek, I wrote a quick summary of what FJs talking about at my blog.<br>I Looking at the long term, Linden Lab has made amazing improvements to Second Life, but usability is still a definite “needs improvement” area. Those who don't understand it, ignore it. Those who do like knowing a little bit about the details of what's going on. Nothing's more annoying than supposed technical updates that have no technical information because they're made for people who are lucky to get their computers powered on. The only way we'll actually know what's going on technically at LL is if they tell us. I like the terminology and geek speak. Those who don't understand it, ignore it.
